Jeffrey M. Verdon, Esq., is a trusts & estates lawyer advising clients on matters pertaining to comprehensive estate planning with asset protection planning for 30 years. He has been an expert witness and/or consultant in litigation involving asset protection trust planning. He has been cited by other professionals in their writings, and he has been cited as an authority in numerous publications. Mr. Verdon is regarded as one of the country’s more experienced asset protection planning attorneys, and enjoys professional relationships with many of the most highly regarded taxation and asset protection lawyers in the United States and abroad.

Areas of Expertise: Mr. Verdon's areas of expertise in his law practice include comprehensive estate and tax planning and asset protection strategies including offshore planning, conventional domestic estate planning, and international estate planning. Since 1986, his practice has offered “firewall” protections against unknown and unforeseen lawsuits. Over the 30+ years of engaging in this practice area, a number of the firm’s clients have successfully used these “firewall” protections to reach very favorable settlements.

Publications: Mr. Verdon has been written about or quoted by some of the business and professional world’s publications of highest regard, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the Orange County Business Journal. Mr. Verdon regularly writes articles for the law firm titled Client Alert on various asset protection topics.

Professional Affiliations: Mr. Verdon a member of STEP, the Society of Estate Tax Practitioners and serves on the board of STEP Orange County. He formerly served as a Fellow and Senator of the distinguished Isle of Man-based Offshore Institute, a professional body that is dedicated to the education and training of competent practitioners in offshore and international finance and tax planning, and to improving the professional standards of those who dispense professional advice in this field. He is also one of the founding members of the editorial board of one of the earliest and most distinguished publications on asset protection planning, Jacob's Report on Asset Protection Strategies. He is a member of the American Bar Association, California Bar Association, and the Orange County Bar Association.

Speaking Accomplishments: Mr. Verdon is a regular lecturer who has presented at hundreds of programs for professionals. The great majority of these programs have qualified for professional continuing education credit. For the past 25 years, Mr. Verdon has lectured at financial and investment conferences for the high net worth investor, insurance industry conferences, and aboard luxury cruise ship investment conferences. He also lectures regularly at local and national law firms, providing accredited CLE programs on Asset Protection: An Overview of Offshore Planning Strategies.
